How much does rodent control cost in Provo?
It depends on the species, how much of the building is affected, and how much sealing the structure needs — a single mouse in a pantry and a deer mouse colony in an attic are very different jobs. That is why we inspect first and quote the actual work, instead of guessing a price over the phone that changes when we arrive. Call and describe what you are seeing; the inspection tells us both what the job really is.
Do you use poison?
Our default is trapping, removal, and exclusion — sealing the entry points so rodents cannot return. Poison does not fix the hole in the wall, and poisoned rodents can die in walls and attics where they cause odor problems. Where bait is genuinely appropriate, we discuss it with you first and use it only in secured locations.
Is your rodent control safe around kids and pets?
Yes — that is one reason we lead with traps and exclusion instead of chemicals. Traps are placed where rodents travel but children and pets do not: inside attics, wall voids, behind appliances, and in secured stations. Tell us about your household when you call and we will plan placement around it.
What is the deal with deer mice and hantavirus in Utah?
Deer mice are the most common mice in Utah County homes, and they are the species that can carry hantavirus, a serious illness spread through airborne dust from dried droppings and urine. It is uncommon but real. Never dry-sweep or vacuum droppings — ventilate the area, wet everything down with disinfectant, and wear gloves. For heavy attic contamination, let us handle the cleanup.
How long does rodent control take?
The inspection itself usually takes under an hour. Removal typically runs over one to a few visits as traps work, and exclusion repairs are often completed in a single visit once the plan is set. A problem that took a season to build rarely disappears overnight — we will give you a realistic timeline for your building, not a sales pitch.
Do you stand behind your exclusion work?
Yes — exclusion is the part of this business we are proudest of, and if rodents re-enter through a point we sealed, we want to know about it. Ask us about how we stand behind sealed entry points when you call, and we will explain exactly what that means for your job before any work starts.
What areas do you serve?
Provo and the surrounding Utah County communities: Orem, Springville, Spanish Fork, American Fork, Lehi, Pleasant Grove, and Mapleton. If you are just outside that ring, call anyway — we will tell you honestly whether we can help.
What are your hours?
We are open Monday through Saturday, 7am to 7pm. If you find a rodent problem on a Sunday, leave it secured — food put away, the room closed off if you can — and call us first thing Monday.
How do I know if I have mice or rats?
Size tells the story. Mouse droppings are small, like grains of rice; rat droppings are closer to raisins. Mice sound like light scratching and scurrying, often in ceilings. Rats make heavier thumps, gnaw loudly, and leave greasy rub marks along walls. Roof rats are rare in Utah, so a rat in Provo is almost always a Norway rat, usually near water, drains, or the river corridor. We confirm the species at inspection.
Can voles be part of the same visit?
Yes. Meadow voles are yard rodents — surface runways in the lawn, bark girdled at the base of trees — and many Provo homes fight voles outside and mice inside in the same season. Tell us about lawn damage when you call and we will inspect both problems in one visit.
I hear scratching in my attic at night. What should I do?
Night scratching in the attic is the most common call we get, especially in fall when deer mice move in from the cold. Do not ignore it — attic rodents chew wiring and contaminate insulation. Call for an attic inspection; we will identify what is up there, how it is getting in, and what removal and sealing will take.
I rent my home. Who should call you, me or my landlord?
Either of you can call. Tenants usually spot the problem first, and landlords in Utah are responsible for habitable housing, so most rental work is arranged by the owner or property manager. We document rental visits in writing, which helps both sides. If you are a tenant, tell your landlord what you found, then have them call us — or call yourself and we will explain the process.

Still Have a Question?
Call and ask it directly — you will get a straight answer, and if the honest answer is that you can handle it yourself, we will say so. Mon–Sat, 7am–7pm.
